When God made the world, He told Adam: You can eat of all the trees; except the one in the middle which bears the forbidden fruit.
For years I've been hearing this story and was perplexed. Why eat the fruit? There was plenty of fruit all over the place.. No question of hunger. Or taste. It wasn't that fantastic was it?
Then i realised its just the first act of human defiance. Not stupidity. Defiance. Mommy tells Little Jimmy don't touch the iron (without stating the repercussions) and little Jimmy feels the irrepressible desire to touch it. And get burnt.. And then Mommy has to put a little plaster on little Jimmy's burnt fingers.
Its never stated that God told Adam "I'll banish you from the Garden if you eat of the tree".
Maybe then the world wouldn't be in such a torrid state.
On a lighter note..
Well not really, sadly i've been excluded from the shift cycle so i'm stuck in Tengah for a couple of weeks. Until Chinese New Year to be specific, and even then its a one-off shift..
So i'm on 8 - 5 working hours now, working from Tengah.
Let me think anything else.. hmm..
Oh yes..
Singapore may win the Asean Football Championships. They'd better or i'd start cursing profanities (in Malay of course) at them. I think i may be going to watch the semis. Any1 interested in gg along??
Tag Me yes.

for all the time i have been hanging around christian people none of them told me that there was more than the one fruit! or maybe i just chose to ignore it, such that i forgot that i had chosen to in the first place.
in which case, yes, defiance is right.
melbourne victory (soccer team) is currently quite well here, so bring it on singapore!
