High Resolution (2007px)

So sorry.

Been a long time. And since i came back from italy long long long long ago, i can't really continue. anyway not much more, apart from a political demonstration and a strike. Doesn't happen in Singapore. thank goodness.

Festive Season is just over, i.e. X'mas & New Year & Hari Raya Haji (secularly) and so are the holidays. yup school starts, and once again you see uniforms dotting the roads. Except i don't cos i'm sleeping thru it. wahahaha. or on pawai, for that matter..

In the spirit of new year; Its common to discuss new year resolutions. so i shall. though i do want to go back to new year 2006 and check out on my new year resolutions...

<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<

by the end of 2006,
1. england must have won the soccer world cup even without michael owen.
2. and i wanna be rich.

and as i mentioned in that post, they (England) have done that 40 years ago - good for them - and i am rich. wahahaha... rich enough for now lah.

yes, 2006 (1966) was a good year. anyway,...

Snap. Back to reality.

~2007 resolutions~
  1. Learn to write with my left hand. Write well and fast enough. You never know when you will dislocate your right elbow or sprain a right wrist. It might even happen during the exam. So yep, prepare.
  2. Exercise 4-6 times a week. doesn't have to be hour-long exercise. just enough to break a sweat and a pant. half-hour? or so.. Still not sure whether or not to count sports. someone went as far as to suggest playing chess to be considered in this category of exercise. probably with all the hand movements to move pieces. Enough?
  3. Learn to do the split. Purely for fun. (yesh, really random)
  4. Learn 2 more languages (rudimentarily). Still thinking which two languages i would take up. My German needs brushing up. hmmm.. Decide later, 365 days to go. bit less... Anything other than Swedish or Norwegian or Danish or anything that i'll never speak as long as i keep a right mind. That list includes Malay.
  5. Most importantly, to ORD. i.e. finish NS. not to be taken for granted. my ORD stunt might end up getting me thrown in DB, which would lessen the chance to ORD this year.
  6. To think up a good ORD stunt. YESH.. still thinking.
  7. To continue to play badminton and hopefully improve. Its always good to exercise regularly and have something that you're good at.
  8. To learn the guitar a bit better. no. a lot better. still very far away from doing those super power guitar solos. will be quite cool to be able to do that. plus you need strong fingers. yes, yes..
  9. To live till 2008. no point ORDing if you don't get to enjoy the 6 months of stoning boredom (already to a certain degree experienced during NS) after ORD.
  10. To be a better person. No point living to 2008 if you become a worse person in that time.

Alright, 10 should do the trick. Secondary resolutions like to complete 50 shifts on Pawai, they'll come by themselves and they're not really important.

In any case, i've realised that i've kena shift duty on almost every public holiday so far. except christmas.. i think i've got a bone to pick with some people, yes? anyway, thats later and i'm actually the idiot who sometimes volunteers for these public holiday shifts cos they're fun and i'd get extra off for it. yeah right, mathematically it evens out.

I guess i like to be bored. and idle. and more idle. yep.

Anyway, i'll just end here, saying to all the school people out there goodluck and may your year at that tortured 6-letter word (school) be fruitful and that you may learn at least 50% of what your teacher teaches you. I hear 50% is enough to get you to pass, yes?

The non-conformist Indian in me wants to take this opportunity to wish all Compliments of the Season and a Merry New Year gauging this wish in Std Indian Timing.

Ciao~
